Finished Space Cruiser

Here's the final thing, obviously the textures could be re-done, I've just put a basic one on:

If you look at the in-game version it has slight shading errors on it but very minor, I'll spend some time fixing this and / or testing it fully scaled in a space environment to see if its visible. Its only a minor thing it doesnt really affect the model, anyway feedback much apreciated!

ESCAPE POD AREA: CONCEPT

Here's my idea for the Escape Pod area:

I did it quick in max because I still couldnt get the test map to load.

Basically the Escape Pod area is at the front of the ship, as seen in image 1. The second image shows a basic interior view which shows the "stations" side panels streching outwards. Should be very easy to implemtent and definatly adds a greater level of realism / immersion, also if you have any ideas of what to fill this front area with let me know.
At the moment its bare, i might add long poles poking down and extruded panels etc, any input would be good as i want to do this before i unwrap...

Fully Modelled Station

The model is done, all the detail is on, all it needs now is unwrapping, importing in-game and then seeing if any faces are distorted and then fixing them.



Personally I think I got it looking pretty damn good, its a tad hard to see all the detail on the side, once textured and shaded ingame will look good, it's only 4,000 tri's too.

Heres the Space Cruiser so far /w comparison concept!



The Side docking area was a pain in the arse to do, kept on deleting the whole ship when I was carving it, other than that all it needs is to be scaled slightly to match the concept.

FYI: not finished, still alot to be done, this is the basic model so far
